July Scrapbooking

Hello!
For the summer months (July and August) I decided to do a "hybrid" scrapbooking class.  Not a traditional hybrid scrapbooking (mix of digital and paper scrapbooking), but rather a mix of two classes, my Project Life class and my regular scrapbooking class.  In July, we did one scrapbook layout and then spent the rest of the time doing Project Life.  This was the scrapbook layout we did (based on a layout done by Kelly Goree).

  • Stampin' Chalk Marker
  • Scalloped Border Punch

Mattingly's 5th Birthday Part 4

Hello,
Welcome back for my final installment (for now), of my goddaughters 5th birthday party (I apologize for the blurred faces, I don't have permission to show these photos and the pictures were clear enough to identify the person).  I've been using the Stampin' Up! Project Life Everyday Adventure Card Collection and Accessories Pack to document this day for her (she will help me fill in the journaling down the road).  I still have more photos to go, but I've gotten a big chunk done in a small time, one of the HUGE benefits of Project Life.

Mattingly's 5th Birthday Part 3

Hello again!
Here are another 3 pages from Mattingly's birthday party (and there are more to come!).  The thing I love about Project Life is how easy it is!  And I still get the variety I crave with the different cards and accessories and page layouts!
I am still using the Everyday Life Card Collection and the Accessories Pack.  You can pick these up and more at www.lisahenderson.stampinup.net!

Mattingly's 5th Birthday

I mentioned a few days ago that I started using the Project Life Everyday Adventure kit for another project.  This time, it was my goddaughters 5th birthday.  Which was a few years ago now, so I haven't filled out the journaling cards yet, as I will have her help with everyone's names (I didn't blur out faces this time, as the photos of my pages weren't really clear enough to distinguish the individuals).
These are photos that I hadn't used yet because of the shear number of them (lets just say they were in a Costco BOX!).  After weeding out some of the duplicates, I started to put them in the pockets, and lets just say, this project is now going much quicker!

June Project Life Part 2

Hello!
I'm back with more of my June Project Life Pages.  June was a busy month, and included my sisters wedding shower, so lots of photos and documenting (excuse the blurred faces, I don't have permission to publish photos of these folks).  I had considered scrapbooking these traditionally, but I have tons of photos still to do, and my sisters wedding is going to be a big part of 2014, so I decided to keep them in my Project Life.
I'm still using the Everyday Adventure Kit along with the Everyday Adventure Accessory Pack.  I've been mixing that in with letter stickers I already have, the Project Life journaling pens, Stampin' Up! washi tape, the Project Life Day to Day Photopolymer Stampset, Project Life Point and Click Photopolymer Stampset, and the Project Life Photo Pockets Pages Variety Pack.   I also have added the Happiness Is Project Life Card Kit and Accessories Packs to add some variety (I've also been using up the Everyday Adventure kit on another project, more on that in a few days).  This is truly scrapbooking made easy!

June Project Life Part 1

Hello!
Welcome back for more Project Life.  June was a busy month (July was even busier!).  I've been taking this on, just grouping my pictures, putting the same month/events together.  Excuse my fake flash for a few of the photos, these are people that I don't have permission to show online.

May Project Life

In May, Stampin' Up! teamed up with Becky Higgins and developed their own kits for Project Life.  I've done Project Life before, but for myself, I found that taking photos every day didn't work for me (there are plenty of people that do amazing things with every day photos--so please don't let my experience discourage you, I simply ran out of things I wanted to document!).
I decided to take it on, and run monthly classes.  And it has been fun!
In May, I bought the first kit Stampin' Up! released, the Everyday Adventure Kit along with the Everyday Adventure Accessory Pack.
I love the colour and the overall "happy" messages that the kit provides.  Make sure you check it out along with all the other options available on my website at www.lisahenderson.stampinup.net!

One of the other benefits?  The reminder that Father's Day was fast approaching (and as an added bonus, some masculine birthday cards)!  Make sure you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin today!  I love my kits!  You can sign up at https://mypaperpumpkin.com/en-ca?demoid=2099167 or as a new alternative, you can sign up for a prepaid subscription service!  There are 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 12 month options available at www.lisahenderson.stampinup.net!

Maple Madness Mini Album Part 2

Hello and welcome back to Part 2 of the Maple Madness Mini Album!  For the first post, just scroll down to the last post.
It's a little hard to tell in the photo above, but there are probably 10 photos in the above photo.  I was able to add so many photos by creating little mini photo books for each page.  The one on the left was created using washi tape.  The one on the right was create by using bakers twine.
More washi tape photo books :).  To create the background on the right side, Stampin' Up! had some printed transparencies in one of their paper packs which I layered over plain cardstock!
My mini albums tend to have some repeated elements in them, but that is what makes it easy to put together!
On the right side, I just cut out one of the banners for the scalloped edge out of patterned paper.  A quick, cheap, and easy way to get a little bit of extra out of your leftover paper!

Supplies:
  • Vanilla coaster board
  • Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper
  • Pistachio Pudding Coredinations Cardstock
  • Linen Thread
  • Scalloped border punch
  • Tag - A - Bag Accessory Kit
  • Crisp Cantaloupe Coredinations Cardstock
  • Scalloped Tag Topper Punch
  • Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
  • Embellishments Essentials Wooden Elements
  • Apothecary Accents Framelits
  • Embellishments In Colour Boutique Details
  • Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Sahara Sand Cardstock
  • Envelope Punch board
  • Washi Tape
  • Coastal Cabana Coredinations Cardstock
  • Modern Mosaic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
  • This and That Washi
  • Project Life Corner Punch
  • Elements Cute Clips
  • Gold Washi
  • Envelope Punch Board

Maple Madness Mini Album

Hello everyone! Sorry for the long delay in between posts! Things have been more than a little hectic around here. I'd love to be able to promise things will get better, but its probably not going to for the next few months! However, I will have a bunch of scheduled posts over the next few weeks, so be sure to check in for those! Today's post is a bit photo heavy, so I'm going to split it into two posts. This is a mini album we made for a class. My original plan was to blur out the faces in the photos, but the lighting flare took care of that for me!

Every year a group of friends gets together to make maple syrup (we don't have any mature trees, so our contribution tends to be jars and equipment!)  These photos are from 2013, and it took a while to do anything with them, but its great to have them scrapbooked and done!

I did one page for each of the kids I had photos for (the kids are really the only reason I was going to obscure the photos!).  A quick tip on how to get extra photos onto a page--use the envelope punch board and the tag punch to create a little pocket and a little mini book of photos to go into it!
I love to add texture to my pages, and it's easy to do using stacks of accessories (like the wood circle with the metal hanger) or using an embossing folder with cardstock!
I also like to add layers to give me a starting point for my photos like with the tags behind the left side.  And I like to add colour, which washi tape helps!
Check back at the next post for the supply list!
Enjoy!
