Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my weekly newsletter!
Classes
There are still spaces available for the scrapbooking day next Saturday and for kid day. Let me know if you are interested (details below)!
New Promo!
For the April Scrapbooking Day, sign up and bring a friend (make sure to RSVP for you both) that has never come before and receive a $5 gift certificate towards your next class or next order. Please note that this offer only applies to “friends” that have never come to one of my classes or in-home workshops before.
Want to earn some free products?
There are two different ways. The most successful way is to host an in-home workshop! All the workshops I’ve done have worked really well. All you have to do is provide a workable area, a few munchies, and some friends! I bring all the materials, and we do a make and take card or scrapbook page (your choice) to introduce your friends to the possibilities of Stampin’ Up! at no cost to you or your friends. Then, if your friends are interested, they place an order from the catalog. Each order adds to your total. The larger the total, the more free product you earn! And, to help you out, get $100 in orders, and I’ll place an additional order myself that counts towards your total! You also get a free copy of the current Idea Book & Catalog. The last 2 workshops landed the lucky hosts over $75 of free product! Let me know a date that works for you.
Another option is to host a catalog party. Although not as successful for the hosts (those familiar with Stampin’ Up! tend to place orders, but most people like to see products before purchasing), a catalog party is still a great way to earn free product without a ton of work. And, get $100 in orders, and I’ll place an additional order as well to top up your totals! Please let me know if you are interested, and I'll get a kit to you right away!
Afraid you don’t know enough people? Ask me for our 40 people in 4 minutes worksheet. I was a bit sceptical, so I gave it a shot, and it works really well! Give me a call, or shoot me an email and we can work out some dates that work for you!
Book to Look!
Book to Look is a new game we’re going to try at the May Stamp-A-Stack. I will have a series of prize packages. When you agree to host a workshop, you get to pick a surprise from one of the packages! When you host your workshop, I will order your prize so that as an added bonus, your prize counts towards your total sales to help increase your incentive!
This weeks news from Stampin’ Up!
× New Digital Studio items were added on Tuesday
× The retired stampset list was added last week on the 15th, and this week, on the 25th, the retired accessories and décor items will be posted. Check out the website on Wednesday for more details.
Retired Stampsets
Stampin’ Up! just released their retired stampsets. The last chance to buy these sets is May 31st…..because the new catalog is being released on June 1st!!!!
View the retired list here http://204.228.150.61/docs/lastchance/en-CA/RetiredStamps_0412_en-CA.pdf .
Don’t forget that the Occasions Mini also ends soon, on April 30th, so make sure you get your orders in ASAP.
A number of you were interested in a charity event, and for my first one, I thought I’d take advantage of the retired stampsets. I’m still working on the list, but shortly I’ll have a list of used, discontinued, stampsets that I will be selling off. These stampsets will be available at a greatly reduced price, and the proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society (with so many family members affected by cancer, this is a cause near and dear to me), starting in June. Stay tuned!

Events:
**NEW** Scrapbooking Day
By popular demand, I will hold the first scrapbooking class Saturday April 28th from 1-5pm.
We will make 3 different 12 x 12 layouts that will work for a wide variety of photos (one layout is birthday themed--but who doesn't have birthday pictures??). There will also be plenty of scrap paper left over to make cards after if we have time. The cost for this class will be $20.00 or a $40.00 supply order of your choice from the catalog. Bring a friend (that has never come to one of my classes or in-home workshop before—make sure that you RSVP for them as well) and receive a $5.00 gift certificate towards your next class fee or order.
Please RSVP as space is limited. (I will try to run a scrapbooking day every other month--pending enough interest. If it gets a lot of regular attendance, we can switch to every month).
If you have a trimmer/paper cutter, feel free to bring it along to reduce your wait time. I will have some on hand to share, but I do not have enough for everyone.
May Kid Day
Come to the May Kid Day on May 6th from 1-5pm in my home.
Bring your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or neighbours kids.
We will be making mother’s day & father’s day cards (I will also have stamps available for grandma & grandpa if anyone chooses to change things up).
The cost for this class will be $10.00 or a $25.00** supply order of your choice from the catalog.
Please RSVP as space is limited.

Come to the May Stamp-A-Stack on Saturday May 26th from 1-5pm in my home.

Specialty Card Class – Resist!
Come to the next specialty card class on June 24th from 1-5pm in my home.
Hello My Friend – Use heat embossing as a resist. I taught this once before at an in-home workshop, but its one of my favourite cards and techniques. For those of you that were at Michelle’s, if any of you sign up, I will make sure to change this card up a bit (using the same technique) for you.
Owl Card – Use paint as a resist
Faux Letterpress – Use an embossing folder and some versamark to create a faux letterpress look and then use it as a resist.
The cost for this class will be $10.00 or a $25.00 supply order of your choice from the catalog.
Please RSVP by June 1st as space is limited.
Thanks!
Lisa
